The Phoenix City Council approved a plan for the southeast Phoenix resort to develop on the vacant land owned by the resort at a meeting in May, which would allow the resort to grow its hotel room count to up to 1,100 rooms, add more food options, add conference and event space, and develop for-rent apartments on land owned by the resort, located near Baseline Road and Interstate 10.
