Founded in 2015, EquipmentShare is already the third-largest equipment rental business in the U.S., and the Kansas City area is playing a big role in its growth.

Over the past four years, the Columbia company grew from 19 branches and 100 employees to 260 branches and 5,700 employees across more than 40 states. In 2023 alone, EquipmentShare launched 60 locations nationwide, creating more than 1,100 jobs. The company’s goal is to be in every state and reach 600 branches.

This year, EquipmentShare’s growth plans are heavily focused on the Midwest, including expansion in the Kansas City area.
