Bellevue, Washington-based fast-casual pizza chain Mod Pizza has sold to a restaurant group amid bankruptcy rumors. The company announced the sale to California-based Elite Restaurant Group July 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. “MOD is a beloved brand with a strong following,” CEO Beth Scott said in a news release. “We’re excited to work with Elite Restaurant Group to strengthen MOD’s future.”
