KBP Brands has purchased 85 Sonic Drive-In restaurants, expanding its portfolio to more than 1,000 locations in 32 states by adding a new concept to its fold. Leawood, Kansas-based KBP Brands, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchise operators in the United States, acquired the Sonic restaurants from Boom Inc. for an undisclosed price. The drive-ins are in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, according to KBP.
