A South Carolina developer is expanding into the Charlotte market with first-time home buyers in mind. Mungo Homes, based in Columbia, has already branched out in its home state to Beaufort, Charleston, Greenville/Spartanburg and Myrtle Beach, as well as in Raleigh/Durham, Richmond, the Triad, and Wilmington. Charlotte is its 10th market, and its first projects will be in west and north Charlotte. “The Charlotte market is one of the most prolific new home markets in the country. The job growth here is excellent. The migration is usually near the top nationwide,” said Matt Kearns, Mungo’s lead development manager.
