Plans have been filed for a new six-story Hilton brand hotel in the Near Southside. 

The 155-room hotel, part of the Tempo by Hilton brand, will have a modern design aesthetic that “ties into the historical context of Magnolia Street,” according to plans filed with the city. 

The hotel is located at 1200 Hemphill St. and overlooks the Magnolia Green Park. Amenities will include a board room, bar, restaurant, patio, meeting spaces and a fitness center. Parking will be in the nearby Magnolia Green garage with valet services offered to hotel guests. 

Tempo is a relatively new brand for Hilton, with only four locations in Nashville, Louisville, Kentucky, Times Square in New York City and Raleigh, North Carolina.
